3. Washington Commanders

Two years ago, you might have argued the Washington Commanders have nothing to worry about at edge rusher. But then, the Chase Young trade rumors began. And last year, Young was dealt to the San Francisco 49ers.

Washington didn't just trade Young, though. They also traded Montez Sweat to the Chicago Bears, who needed a pass rusher more than any team in football at the time. Now, the Commanders are stripped of talent at the position and are desperate to rebuild their pass rush.

As the 2023 season came to a close, the Commanders finished with just 39 sacks as a team. If you take away the 11.5 tallied from Sweat and Young before their exit, Washington is left with a measly 27.5. To say they are starving for help, here, is an understatement.

Washington's new head coach, Dan Quinn, is a defensive mind. He's credited with helping deploy Micah Parsons over the last few years and turn him into one of the best pass rushers in football. You know he's not going to end this offseason without finding a prolific player at the position, and Allen would be a great fit.
