The Buffalo Bills were one of the hottest teams in the league heading into Week 5. However, the Jacskonville Jaguars were unfazed by the challenge. They showed up, played, and came on top after in what turned out to be a highly entertaining outing. John Breech of CBS Sports recognized the Jags' victory and gave them a grade that reflected their convincing performance.

Breech graded all the teams that played Sunday and gave Jacksonville an A-, noting that winning back-to-back games in London is no easy task. Specifically, he highlights performances by running back Travis Etienne, wide receiver Calvin Ridley, and the defense, which kept Buffalo at bay for most of the game.

"The Bills had no answers for a well-rounded Jags offense that saw Travis Etienne (181 total yards, two touchdowns) and Calvin Ridley (seven catches, 122 yards) both have huge games. The Jags defense was also impressive, especially during a first half where it held the Bills to just 122 yards. If the Jags proved one thing in this game, it's that they can play with the best teams in the AFC."

There's no doubt that both Etienne and Ridley were outstanding but Breech should've also brought up Trevor Lawrence, who had his best game of the season in Week 5. The former Clemson Tiger was on point, completing 67.6 percent of his throws for 315 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. His yards-per-attempt of 8.5 is the highest he's posted this year. On top of that, he was clutch in money downs, going 9-of-10 for 114 yards and a 147.5 passer rating.

Calvin Ridley and the Jaguars trust Trevor Lawrence no matter what

Following the game, Calvin Ridley had nothing but praise for Trevor Lawrence, noting that he won't shrink in huge games.

"He's more than ready for those big moments," Ridley told the media. "We trust Trevor no matter what, he's gonna make the right read. He's going to do the right thing at the right time. And closer to the end of the game, he made some good plays and great throws and some good checks and put us in a position to win."

But as great as Lawrence was in Week 5, this was a team win. As Breech noted, the defense came through. They held the Buffalo offense to just seven points until the fourth quarter and when they managed to score, the Jaguars struck back. Having Cam Robinson back in the fold also helped, as the offensive line was able to open running lanes for Travis Etienne.

Based on their performance in Week 5, it looks like the Jaguars offense has found their groove, and if they keep playing like they did against the Bills, they should keep racking up wins the rest of the way. It's also worth noting that they needed more time to hit their stride last year. Following Week 5 of the 2022 season, they were 2-3. They went on to lose three more before they got their third win of the year against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were projected to be one of the top clubs in the AFC South before the start of the season. It took them a bit of time but they're at last living up to expectations. Beating the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6 will help cement their case as the best team in the division.
