Jacksonville Jaguars trade No. 1 for OLB Za'Darius Smith: Ben Bartch

The Jaguars need to address a few needs in the 2023 NFL Draft but they also have depth at several positions groups, including the right guard position. Ben Bartch, a fourth-round pick in 2020, progressively got more playing time and started five games last year before a meniscus injury cut his season short. During his absence, veteran Tyler Shatley held the fort and the Jaguars' offensive line didn't miss a beat.

Shatley signed a two-year deal to return to Jacksonville last offseason and can line up at any spot in the interior offensive line. Meanwhile, Bartch is entering the last year of his rookie deal and it's uncertain if he's part of the team's long-term future. If he isn't, the Jaguars should consider trading him and getting something in return instead of letting him walk in 2024.

Even though the Vikings might have more pressing needs, their offensive line could use a boost. Ezra Cleveland is firmly entrenched at left tackle and Minnesota managed to bring back center Garrett Bradberry. However, the right guard position could use some help, with Ed Ingram, a second-round pick in last year's draft, struggling throughout most of his rookie campaign.

It might be too early to give up on Ingram but if he fails to improve or Cleveland misses time with injuries, having Bartch around would give them a bit of a cushion. The fact that Bartch can line up at either guard spot makes him an enticing trade chip.
