Jaguars draft two pairs of teammates in latest 2024 NFL mock draft
By Ryan Heckman
Round 6 sees the Jaguars go after an underrated center prospect who has the potential to become a starter in this league. Tanor Bortolini tore up the Combine and, of course, he comes from an offensive line factory in the University of Wisconsin. Anytime you can get a Badger lineman this late in the draft, you have to do it.
Bortolini moves extremely well for a lineman, and he also offers positional flexibility, being able to line up at guard as well. He immediately gives the Jaguars a high-end backup who could evolve into a starter real quick.
Finally, the Jaguars take Kalen King's college teammate and defensive partner, linebacker Curtis Jacobs out of Penn State. Jacobs is a bigger, stronger linebacker who isn't as athletic as you'd like to see from a starter in this league, but he makes his presence known. He's a good run stopper, and although he can be a step behind the play if he doesn't quickly diagnose, Jacobs' effort is always there.
