No. 1 Jacksonville Jaguars player that was put on notice: Cam Robinson, LT

You might be wondering why running back Snoop Conner didn't make the cut despite the fact that the Jags signed D'Ernest Johnson in free agency and later used a third-round pick to select Tank Bigsby.

The truth is that Conner might be on the roster bubble ahead of the 2023 season, so he deserves a bit of a break after talking about him being on the outside looking in countless times. So why not discuss someone else? How about left tackle Cam Robinson, who recently made headlines for violating the league's performance-enhance drug policy (PED)?

During the Jaguars' pre-draft media availability session, general manager Trent Baalke said that Robinson will be ready to go for the regular season after hurting his knee last season. However, the way he worded it made it sound like something could be stopping the former Alabama standout from suiting up. The news of the suspension brought clarity to the situation and explains why the Jags opted to draft Oklahoma offensive tackle Anton Harrison with the 27th overall pick.

The Jags didn't draft Harrison to ride the bench and they will give him a chance to earn a starting job in 2023. While he mostly lined up at left tackle at Oklahoma, he could move to the right side if the top brass thinks Walker Little is better suited to play on the left.

Either way, it feels like the Jaguars weren't thrilled about Robinson's suspension. Drafting Harrison could be a sign that they're ready to move on.
