No. 2 draftee the Jaguars regret ignoring in favor of Leonard Fournette: Garett Bolles, LT

Left tackle was one of the Jaguars' biggest needs ahead of the 2017 draft after letting Kelvin Beachum walk in free agency. Even if Beachum, who lasted only one season in Jacksonville, had remained in place, the team's brass could have taken his potential replacement and groomed him.

In the end, the Jags ended up going with Cam Robinson in the second round but they could have drafted Garett Bolles, who's a clear example that some players need more time than others to hit their stride.

Bolles, who went to the Denver Broncos at No. 20, was a flag machine early in his NFL career, racking up 46 penalties in his first three seasons. This made it a no-brainer for Denver not to pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie deal but the former Utah Ute turned the corner in 2020. That year, he didn't give up a single sack and only allowed 13 total pressures on 622 pass-blocking snaps. Also, he was only flagged seven times and posted an outstanding Pro Football Focus overall grade of 90.6.

Even though Bolles hasn't been nearly as dominant as he was in 2020, he's been pretty good the last two years, keeping his penalty totals in check while also giving up a combined six sacks. It's important to note that Robinson had become a fixture of the Jaguars' offensive line and he would be their starting left tackle next season if he weren't serving a multi-game suspension for violations to the league's PED policy. But if Jacksonville had a chance at a do-over, Bolles at No. 4 would have been good.
