Christian Braswell will need to step up for the Jaguars with Jarrian Jones out

• The Jaguars probably won't have Jarrian Jones for the rest of the game.

The game against the Buffalo Bills just started and the Jacksonville Jaguars already are in trouble. Besides giving up two touchdowns to make it 13-0, they also lost cornerback Jarrian Jones.

Jones entered the tunnel and headed into the locker room on the Bills' first drive. Not long after, it was revealed that he's questionable to return.

A third-round pick in this year's draft, Jones was filling in for defensive back Darnell Savage, who was ruled out with a quad injury a day before the game. The rookie cornerback played 57 snaps in the loss against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.

With Jones out of the game, elevating Christian Braswell to the active roster will come in handy. A sixth-round pick in 2023, the former Rutgers standout had a solid training camp but was waived on cutdown day. He went unclaimed and was promptly signed to the practice squad.

This is Braswell's second time suiting up for the Jaguars in 2024. He also played in the Week 2 loss to the Cleveland Browns but didn't log a single snap on defense. He did have five on special teams, though.

On a side note, tight end Evan Engram, like Darnell Savage, was ruled out for the game. He suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2 during warmups.

The Jaguars aren't doing so great against the Bills in Week 3

So far, the Jaguars aren't off to a great start against Buffalo. Already, they've surrendered a touchdown and seemingly have no answer for Josh Allen and the Bills' offense. To make matters worse, Jacksonville doesn't have much going for them on offense.

During their first drive, the Jags went three-and-out. A holding penalty put an end to the drive, with Trevor Lawrence completing just one yard.

Even though the Jaguars have enough talent to go toe-to-toe against the Buffalo Bills, they look uninspired on both sides of the ball. Unless they turn things around, they'll rack up their third loss of the season.
