The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to bounce back in Week 2 after losing to the Miami Dolphins in Week 2. One of the biggest hurdles they'll need to clear is star defensive end Myles Garrett. While they're conflicting reports about his health ahead of the depth chart, it looks like he'll be at full strength. This doesn't bode well for the Jaguars when you take into account that left tackle Cam Robinson was limited in practice.

Adam Schefter of ESPN broke the news that Garrett didn't practice Thursday because he's dealing with a foot injury.

Not long after Schefter's report, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media noted that the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year's inclusion on the Injury Report isn't a cause for concern.

Based on Rapoport's report, the Jaguars will have to deal with Garrett in Week 2. On the other hand, right tackle Jack Conklin continues to be limited in practice while left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. remains a non-participant. Neither one suited up for the season opener. This means that the Jaguars' defense may have a favorable matchup against the Cleveland offensive, which isn't great news for quarterback Deshaun Watson.

In Week 1, James Hudson III, Ethan Pocic, and Joel Bitonio gave up a combined 17 total pressures. Watson was underwhelming, completing 53.3 percent of his throws for 169 yards with one touchdown with two interceptions. While he deserves flak for his performance, you can make the case that he didn't get much help up front.

Having said that, the Jaguars are dealing with injuries of their own. Ahead of Week 2, they placed cornerback Tyson Campbell on the Injured Reserve. Moreover, they listed left tackle Cam Robinson as limited with a knee injury Thursday. Similarly, defensive back Darnell Savage didn't practice.

On the other hand, defensive tackle Tyler Lacy and linebacker Caleb Johnson got the limited designation with toe and back injuries, respectively.

If Robinson doesn't suit up for the matchup against the Browns, Walker Little, a second-round pick in 2021, will get the starting nod. The Texas native has fared well when called upon. In 2023, he allowed just one sack and five total pressures in four games to start the season.

Stopping Myles Garrett will be a tough task for the Jaguars in Week 2

Left tackle Cam Robinson has his work cut out in Week 2. He struggled in the season opener, giving up a crucial sack late in the game and whiffing on a block when the Jacksonville Jaguars decided to go for it on fourth-and-1 on their own 32-yard line. When you add the fact that he may not be at full strength, containing Myles Garrett could be a tall order.

Heading into the game, offensive coordinator Press Taylor talked about Garrett's impact, pointing out that he's one of the biggest game-changers in the NFL.

"There are certain guys in the league that we would classify as game-makers. He's certainly one of those, so you pay special attention to that guy," Taylor said when asked about how much planning it takes for players like Myles Garrett." Whether it's we're going to provide help in the pass game, we're going to run away from him, we're going to do this, we're going to run at him with certain schemes."

Taylor continued. "We will do everything in our power to be aware of where 95 is at all times. They do a great job of moving him. On third down, particularly, he could align anywhere, anytime. He did that against us, he's done it in the past. That's something we're definitely certainly aware of, with everything we do in our plan. I think special players require special focus and he's definitely one of those guys."

Robinson will want to give his best against Garrett because if he struggles, he might be phased out in favor of Walker Little. Both left tackles are set to hit the open market in 2025, and it's fair to assume that neither will pass up the chance to make an impression.

Ultimately, the Jaguars will make a decision about Robinson and Little in due time. For the time being, they must focus on the task at hand. That's stopping (or at least slowing down) Myles Garrett in Week 2.
