The Jacksonville Jaguars let the AFC South slip through their fingers in 2023, but the good news is they can start to look forward to 2024 by having a strong drat next week.

The Jaguars currently hold the No. 17 overall pick and while it may be tough to predict which players will be available in that spot, sportsbooks have released odds for what position that player is likely to be.

Let's take a look at the odds to help us determine which position the Jaguars will select with their first pick in next week's NFL Draft.

2024 Jaguars NFL Draft Odds

The odds on favorite for the position of the Jaguars' first pick is cornerback at -160. If you translate those odds to implied probability, there's a 61.54% chance the Jaguars take a corner with that pick.

That makes a ton of sense when you consider the Jaguars allowed the seventh most passing yards per game last season at 239.8 yards per game. It's been a weakness of theirs over the past couple of seasons and boosting the secondary is going to be key to their success moving forward.

Some cornerbacks that may be available for them with that pick in the draft are Terrion Arnold from Alabama, Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo, and Cooper DeJean from Iowa.

Next on the list of odds is wide receiver at +360. The Jaguars' signed Gabe Davis this offseason, but they'll likely need more than just Davis to help replace Calvin Ridley. Another receiver would do give Trevor Lawrence an increased load of weapons while also helping support Christian Kirk.

Offensive lineman (+450) and defensive lineman (+600) are the next possible positions for the Jaguars to draft with their first round pick next week.
