AFC South QB Power Rankings: Who moved up the most after the 2023 NFL Draft?

No. 3 AFC South Post-Draft QB Power Ranking: Houston Texans
Davis Mills is actually the worst quarterback in the worst division in the AFC, and it's no surprise his Houston Texans earned the No. 2 spot in the draft. He tied Dak Prescott for the most interceptions in 2022 with 15. In short, Davis Mills is not a starting NFL-caliber quarterback.
He is keeping the starting quarterback job going into OTAs, but I don't expect him to keep it through the preseason. CJ Stroud is clamoring for his start, and there is little reason the Texans shouldn't give him the nod.
Stroud said during a press conference, "I view this opportunity like it's one of a kind because it is" Stroud continued via Zoom, "It's something that God put on my life. I know the city of Houston hasn't seen a franchise quarterback in a long time, and that's something I hope I become."
Deshawn Watson got his first start in Week 2 of his rookie year, and the Texans were in a much better place then. Stroud will most likely be the starting quarterback in Houston in the opener. He has the patience, football IQ, and poise to be an immediate starter, watch this clip and see his pocket presence for yourself.
But that's enough of CJ Stroud; we are talking about Davis Mills. Mills could be a functional quarterback, he did throw for 5,782 yards and 33 touchdowns in 28 games for the Texans. Despite the 25 interceptions, he managed to edge out the aging Ryan Tannehill and get third place in our top AFC South quarterbacks list.
