The Jacksonville Jaguars were flying high following their win over the Indianapolis Colts. However, they came back to earth following their disastrous loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2. The good news is that it's early in the season and they have enough time to bounce back and take their place as one of the top teams in the NFL.

That said, Jacksonville isn't the only club in the AFC South that wants to make noise in 2023. The Tennessee Titans just won their first game of the season and won't make things easy for the Jaguars. In fact, this could turn out to be a closer race than previously expected. With that in mind, here's a power ranking of the AFC South after Week 2.

No. 4 Post-Week 2 AFC South Power Ranking: Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are 0-2 but this isn't the same club that finished with the worst record in the league last year. Granted, you're what your record says you are but the Texans should be encouraged by the foundation they've built. C.J. Stroud still needs time to put it all together but it looks like he can develop into a good starting quarterback.

Similarly, rookie defensive end William Anderson Jr. looks like the real deal, registering seven pressures and one sack in his first two NFL games. Now, the Texans need to look for ways to upgrade their offensive line, especially the left guard and right tackle positions. But barring a trade, they'll need to wait until 2024 to address both needs.
