1. AFC South power ranking Week 5: Houston Texans (2-2)

Even if the Houston Texans went 0-13 the rest of the way, this season will have been considered a resounding success. Coming out of college, C.J. Stroud was a promising prospect but nobody would have imagined that he would be so good in such a little time.

Stroud is currently on pace to shatter the rookie record for passing yards. But more importantly, he's already playing like a vested pro. The fact that he has come through despite the fact that the offensive line has been without most of their starting line the last three weeks makes Stroud's early success even more impressive.

Then again, Stroud isn't the lone reason Houston is coming off back-to-back wins. Their wide receiver corps, which lacks a true No. 1, has overachieved. Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Robert Woods have made clutch plays at one point or another. Their defense has also shown out. Anchored by rookie Will Anderson Jr., the Texans are equally adept at stopping the pass and the run. Once they get cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. back from injury, they'll be even better.

In Week 5, Houston will face off against the Falcons team that just lost to Jacksonville. They should come on top and if they do, they'll start to garner more attention around the league.
