5 Jaguars players that could be traded after training camp
• They're in position to ship a few of their players after training camp
No. 4 player who could be traded after Jaguars training camp: Tim Jones, WR
The top four spots on the receiver depth chart are earmarked for Christian Kirk, Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones, and Jamal Agnew. Depending on how many wideouts the Jaguars decide to carry in 2023, there could just be one slot up for grabs and Tim Jones, Kendrick Pryor, and Parker Washington might need to compete for it.
You would think that Tim Jones has the inside track by virtue of having made the 53-man roster last year but he didn't do anything of note once the regular season started, catching just three passes for 30 yards in 17 games.
Heading into the 2023 season, it looks like Jones will face an uphill battle to make the cut once again. Pryor has made a positive impression in training camp while Washington has the tools to develop into a steady contributor, so he'll need to make ground in the preseason if he doesn't want to be the victim of a numbers game.
The good news is that Jones showed out in last year's preseason, reeling in 14 catches for 219 yards in four preseason games. If lighting can strike twice, he might have a shot at making the team. Then again, the Jaguars may feel like they've seen enough of the Southern Miss Golden Eagle and decide to ship him to a team in need of receiver depth before the opener.
