No. 2 Jaguars player who must shine vs. the Chiefs: Tank Bigsby, RB

Running back Travis Etienne will keep getting the bigger share of the workload in the Jaguars' backfield. However, the coaching staff will keep feeding rookie Tank Bigsby, who was responsible for two turnovers in the opener.

In fact, the Jags kept trusting Bigsby even after he had dropped a live ball that defensive tackle DeForest Buckner then scooped to take to the end zone. The decision paid off as Bigsby reached the end zone not long after. Against the Chiefs, he'll keep getting opportunities and should be motivated to make the most of them.

No. 1 Jaguars player who must shine vs. the Chiefs: Travon Walker, OLB

Josh Allen and Travon Walker showed in Week 1 that the pass rush won't be an issue in 2023... as long as they remain healthy. The bookend pass rushers logged a combined four sacks and eight total pressures. Allen, in particular, was dominant, accounting for three of the four sacks. But it's unrealistic to expect to register as many on a weekly basis. This means that Walker needs to keep playing like he did against the Colts.

One of Walker's biggest tasks will be containing Patrick Mahomes. Look, nobody can stop Mahomes, who's the best quarterback in the NFL right now But if the former Georgia Bulldog can contain the edge and pressure him into throwing earlier than he would want, the Jags will have a shot at beating Kansas City and starting 2-0 to begin the 2023 season.
