No. 3 player the Jacksonville Jaguars could trade at the deadline: JaMycal Hasty, RB

The Jaguars have one of the top running backs in the league in Travis Etienne, who's on pace to finish the year with 1,000+ rushing yards and more than 10 touchdowns. He became the first player in team history to have reached the end zone multiple times in three straight games. At this rate, nobody would bat an eye if the former Clemson Tiger keeps extending his record against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8.

But Etienne isn't the only running back the Jaguars can count on. Rookie Tank Bigsby had a dreadful NFL debut but he's bounced back nicely in recent weeks. D'Ernest Johnson, for his part, has also been reliable when called upon this season. With such a stacked backfield, JaMycal Hasty has become a healthy scratch.

Even though Johnson has been brought up as a trade candidate, it would make more sense for the Jaguars to deal Hasty given Johnson's value on special teams. Hasty spent his first two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and landed in Jacksonville last year. He didn't get much playing time early on but became the primary backup behind Etienne when James Robinson was shipped to the NY Jets.

Hasty finished the 2022 season with a respectable 197 rushing yards, and his 61-yard touchdown run against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7 turned heads across the league.

However, the arrival of D'Ernest Johnson and Tank Bigsby has made Hasty expendable, and if the Jags decided to trade him, they could easily promote sophomore Snoop Conner to the active roster.
