No. 3 former Jaguars player who remains unsigned: AJ Cann, right guard

There are many reasons for the Jaguars' lack of success in the 2010s but chief among them were their inability to consistently draft good players and overpaying for free agents who failed to have an impact once they put their name on the dotted line. Having said that, the Jags had a few good (or at least solid) players last decade. One of them was right guard A.J. Cann, a third-round pick in the 2015 draft.

Cann was far from a Pro Bowl but he was good enough to make 94 starts for the Jags from 2015 to 2021. In fact, he was once called one of the team's most underrated players and it's easy to see why. In spite of the recurrent turnover Jacksonville underwent throughout the decade, he was a constant at right guard. Unfortunately, his tenure with the Jags probably ended the way he wanted.

Back in 2021, Cann went down with a knee injury in Week 4 and he would miss the remainder of the year. He became a free agent last offseason and signed with the division rival Houston Texans. He ended up making 16 starts and finished the season with a Pro Football Focus overall grade of 66.6, allowing five sacks and 34 total pressures.

Even though aren't eye-popping numbers, they should be good enough to help Cann land somewhere in 2023 but that has not been the case so far. Maybe he'll get a chance if a club suffers an injury on the interior offensive line and needs someone who can come in and play right away.
