The Jacksonville Jaguars need to get an impact player with the 17th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. However, they cannot forget about the rest of the draft. Last year, they hit it out of the ballpark when they selected Anton Harrison in the first round but most of their other picks left much to be desired.

In particular, the Jags failed to get much production from Tank Bigsby, and Brenton Strange, their Day 2 picks from last year. There's a chance both Bigsby and Strange will put it all together, but if Jacksonville wants to contend next season, they'll need their 2024 second and third-round selections to contribute as soon as possible.

With that in mind, here are four value prospects the Jaguars could target on Day 2 of the draft.

4. Ladd McConkey, WR - Georgia

The Jaguars need a WR1 after losing Calvin Ridley in free agency, but they also need to take care of other needs in the draft. If the receiver prospects they like are gone by the time they're on the clock at No. 17, they could target Ladd McConkey on Day 2.

McConkey has seen his stock rise since the end of the 2023 season. Originally projected to be taken in the fourth round, he could go as early as the second. So what's so appealing about the former Georgia Bulldog? He corroborated how athletic he is at his Pro day, running the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds and posting a 3.97 short shuttle.

At 6'0" and 185 pounds, his size may be a cause of concern for a few teams. McConkey isn't great at reeling in contested catches and struggles against press coverage. That said, his top-notch athleticism and his outstanding route-running may be too good to pass up, especially if he slides to the third round.
