No. 1 underrated player who could have a huge impact for the Jaguars in 2023: Andrew Wingard, S

The Jaguars have a well-rounded roster. Not only do they have lots of star players that can take over games. They also have a handful of less heralded players that can come delivered if called upon. Also, the Jags have the right mix of veterans and young players heading into the 2023 season.

One player that is still young at 26 but has become a veteran presence in the locker room is Andrew Wingard. An undrafted free agent in 2019, Dewey moved his way up the depth chart and became the starter next to Rayshawn Jenkins in 2021. With Andre Cisco getting promoted to the starting lineup last year, Wingard took on a reserve role but still proved to be valuable.

The former Wyoming Cowboy came up with the rallying cry 'It was Always the Jaguars' during the team's playoff push in 2022 but he's more than a hype man. He's a pretty good No. 3 safety that can come in and start if needed. Moreover, he's become an important piece on special teams, and that's the thing, Wingard will never complain about his role and will do whatever it takes to win games.

The Jaguars recognized his impact on and off the football field and brought Wingard back on a three-year deal worth up to $9 million in the offseason. Even if he doesn't start too many games in 2023, you can bet he'll be a big reason the Jags will rack up wins.
