No. 2 underrated player who could have a huge impact for the Jaguars in 2023: Tank Bigsby, RB

The Jaguars have been home to several talented running backs over the last few years. First, it was Leonard Fournette, then James Robinson, and most recently, Travis Etienne, who's coming off a season in which he had more than 1,400 yards from scrimmage. That said, it's hard to remember a team in which the Jags had so much depth at the position.

Etienne is expected to carry most of the load but the Jaguars can afford to give carries to other backs to keep him fresh. JaMycal Hasty, who became the primary backup at the position once Robinson was traded to the New York Jets, is back. Also, the team's brass signed D'Ernest Johnson in free agency and later used a third-round pick on Tank Bigsby.

Hasty and Johnson are a pair of dependable running backs who can contribute if called upon. Bigsby, on the other hand, could end up having a big role on the offense. He's already listed as RB2 on the depth chart, and it wouldn't be shocking to see him get considerable playing time as a rookie.

Back at Auburn, Bigsby showed the ability to gain yards in chunks. Also, he's a much better pass-catcher than what his college numbers suggest. Just recently, head coach Doug Pederson praised him for his receiving skills out in the backfield.

The bottom line is that if Bigsby can make a quick adjustment to the NFL, Jacksonville could have a dynamic backfield tandem next season.
