Players will often say that it's just another game when they face a team they used to play for. While some be sincerely telling the truth, there are many that hold a grudge, and that's perfectly fine. Players aren't robots, and they want to prove their former club made a mistake when they let them go. The same is true for coaches and in 2023, the Jacksonville Jaguars will get to see several familiar faces that previously wore the Black and Teal.

In fact, there will be several notable reunions on the Jaguars' schedule next season. Here are the top four.

Notable reunion No. 4 in 2023 - Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts

After an intriguing rookie campaign, Gardner Minshew was given a chance to prove he could be the Jaguars franchise quarterback. However, he flopped badly and was even benched. Then, the Jags wasted no time and jumped at the chance to draft Trevor Lawrence in 2021.

With Lawrence in town, Minshew became expendable and was shipped to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he backed up Jalen Hurts the last two years. The former Washington State Cougar has now followed mentor Shane Steichen to the Indianapolis Colts, where he's been given a chance to compete for the starting job.

Minshew could be behind center when the Colts face the Jags in the opener but there's an equal chance Anthony Richardson will be the starter. That's why this reunion landed at the bottom. Minshew would like to show Jacksonville they moved on from him too early but if he's on the sidelines when these division foes face off, he would have proved them right.

Defensive tackle Taven Bryan is another former Jaguar that crossed enemy lines and is now with the Colts. However, the former Florida Gator didn't do much of note during his stint in Jacksonville, and if Indianapolis somehow wins the opener, it won't probably be because of him.
