1. Cam Robinson, left tackle

Left tackle Cam Robinson was seen as a potential cap casualty early in the offeason but he remains on the roster. That could change during or after the draft.

Robinson, a second-round pick in 2017, has become a leader on the offensive line. His absence was noticeable when he missed time last year. However, there are a handful of reasons that may incentivize the Jags to move on from him.

The Alabama product signed a long-term deal in 2022 but he earned a four-game suspension for violations to the league's performance-enhancing drug policy. The suspension voided the guarantees on his contract and the team's brass could free up over $17 million in space if they release him or trade him.

Despite the potential savings, the Jags expect Robinson to be around for 2024. Head coach Doug Pederson and general manager Trent Baalke have made it abundantly clear. Having said that, plans can change at any time and Jacksonville may opt to move on from the Alabama product.

The Jags hosted Troy Fautanu and Amarius Mims for pre-draft visits. Both prospects are projected to go in the first round and the front office could take either one at No. 17. Mims plays right tackle, but the coaching staff could switch Anton Harrison to the left side to pave the way for him. Another possibility would be to give Robinson the boot and plug Fautanu at left tackle. Either way, Jacksonville has options.

Now, there's no guarantee the Jaguars will move on from Robinson. Maybe they're just doing due diligence on Mims and Fautanu ahead of the draft. That said, they'll most definitely have alternatives in case they decide to cut ties. The fact that they could potentially get a draft pick if they trade him may incentivize the team's brass to send him packing.
