2. Jaguars trade safety Rayshawn Jenkins and a 3r-round pick for Haason Reddick

One of the Eagles' biggest needs this offseason is safety, so the Jaguars could include veteran Rayshawn Jenkins as part of the trade to land Haason Reddick. Last year, Philadelphia acquired former All-Pro Kevin Byard from the Tennessee Titans but he ended up not being a non-factor.

Byard still had a year left on his deal but releasing him was a no-brainer when you take into account that the Eagles got back $13 million in space. With 2023 third-round pick Sydney Brown expected to spend a good chunk of 2024 recovering from an ACL injury he suffered last December, Philly will need to find a starter next to Reed Blankenship in the offseason. They could plug in Jenkins right out of the gate.

Jenkins has been a mixed bag for the Jaguars since signing a four-year deal worth $35 million in 2021. He was named team captain in his first season in Jacksonville but he didn't make any big plays and was even ejected from a game after punching an opposing wide receiver. The former Miami Hurricane then had a great season in 2022, registering a walk-on pick-six against the Dallas Cowboys and later causing a fumble in the finale that propelled Jacksonville to the playoffs.

However, Jenkins wasn't able to build on his successful 2022 campaign and was somewhat underwhelming last year. He did intercept Lamar Jackson but he struggled to wrap up tackles and wasn't great in coverage. Maybe he could benefit from a change of scenery in Philadelphia.
