The Jaguars might not struggle with depth issues on the O-Line in 2024

The Jaguars dealt with injuries across the offensive line last year. This in turn affected their ability to protect Trevor Lawrence and pound the football. As left tackle Cam Robinson recently pointed out, the starters need to spend considerable time playing together to gel. Jacksonville didn't have that luxury. Once injuries piled up their dearth of depth was exposed.

To remedy the issue, the team's brass added a couple young players in the offseason. They drafted Javon Foster in the fourth round and later inked Steven Jones after the draft ended. On top of that, sophomore Cooper Hodges is back after missing his rookie season with a patella injury. If that wasn't enough, incumbent center Luke Fortner will probably take on a backup role after the arrival of Mitch Morse.

On the other hand, the Jags believe they didn't have to make many changes to their starting combination. The only meaningful addition was Morse. Other than that, four starters from last year, along with swing tackle Walker Little, will be back. Ezra Cleveland signed a three-year deal worth $24 million in the offseason and Cam Robinson is expected to be on the roster next season despite the fact that moving on from him would create $17 million in space.

For the sake of argument, let's say the Jaguars' starting offensive line stays healthy throughout the offseason, that should suffice to get the running game going and keep Lawrence upright. But if they suffer a few injuries, they should be able to overcome them.
