The Jacksonville Jaguars managed to end a losing skid when they beat the Las Vegas Raiders 30-29 in Week 9. Now, they'll have a chance to start a winning streak when they face the Houston Texans for the second time this season.

Granted, the Jags struggled more than they would've liked against Las Vegas but ultimately did enough to come out on top. Moreover, there are reasons to believe that they'll be even better against the Texans in Week 10.

For starters, Trevor Lawrence wasn't 100 percent. He was dealing with the flu but still managed to come through. It's fair to assume that he'll be much better against Houston now that he's healthy. It's also important to point out that No. 16 has a new target. Jacksonville just traded for the sure-handed Jakobi Meyers, who should help the team take care of its much-discussed drop issues.

If that wasn't enough, C.J. Stroud is in concussion protocol, so Davis Mills will get the start in Week 10. When you add it all up, the Jags are in a position to sweep their division foes. With this in mind, here are the odds and the spread for the Texans game.

Jaguars odd vs. the Texans after CJ Stroud injury update

Before the Texans ruled out C.J. Stroud, the Jags were a 1.5-point underdog, but the odds have shifted in their favor after DeMeco Ryans announced that Davis Mills will get the start. Now, Jacksonville is a 1.5-point favorite with a moneyline of -130, per DraftKings Sportsbook. Place a wager of $130 and win $100 for a total payout of $230 if the Jags beat Houston.

The Texans moneyline sits at +110. Bet $110 and win $100 for a total payout if they win in Week 12. The over/under for the game is set at 37.5 points.

Keep in mind that odds refresh periodically, so they can change at any moment.

Wild Josh Hines-Allen prediction for the Jaguars game vs. the Texans

Josh Hines-Allen has had a relatively quiet season thus far. Sure, he ranks sixth among pass rushers with 40 pressures, but he's not making nearly enough big plays. And that's the thing, the Jags are paying him top-market money, so you would expect the two-time Pro Bowl's statline to look much better.

Before Week 9, Hines-Allen hadn't logged a sack but registered 1.5 against the Las Vegas Raiders. As Jamal St. Cyr of News4 Jax noted, though, he's posted a sack in three of the last four games against Houston. It's also worth noting that he had to deal with Laremy Tunsil in three of those four matchups. Aireontae Ersery

Tunsil is now with the Washington Commanders, and rookie Aireontae Ersery is in at left tackle for Houston. The former Minnesota Golden Gopher has given up five sacks and 23 total pressures this season. Couple that with the fact that Davis Mills isn't nearly as mobile as C.J. Stroud, and Hines-Allen should be able to feast.

With this in mind, expect the seventh overall pick to record three sacks against the Texans.
