And just like that, the rumor mill is buzzing loudly ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. After months of speculation, it doesn't look like anybody knows what the Jacksonville Jaguars will do at No. 5. That said, an NFL insider just brought a bit of clarity into their potential plans.

Adam Schefter of ESPN recently shared what he's hearing about the draft and is "pretty comfortable saying" that Jacksonville isn't going to draft defensive tackle Mason Graham at No. 5.

"At No. 5, if we go over all the mock drafts in recent weeks, I think it's fair to say the majority of them, all have Mason Graham going to Jacksonville, would you not agree with that?" Schefter said on the UnSportmanLike podcast. "The one thing I'm confident in... The one thing I feel pretty comfortable in saying is I don't believe that Mason Graham is gonna go No. 5, don't believe he's going No. 5. Okay, so what is Jacksonville doing?

Schefter goes on to say that the Jaguars will lean toward an offensive player, bringing up running back Ashton Jeanty and wide receiver Tatairoa McMillan as the potential picks.

"I would just say that the sense I am getting is that Jacksonville very well, again, there are no absolutes. This is all informed speculation, but the sense that I am getting is that Jacksonville very well could be an offensive player. And it could be Ashton Jeanty, and it could be Tet McMillan. We don't know where it is going right now. But I feel pretty comfortable in saying I don't think it's going Mason Graham," Schefter said.

One year earlier, Schefter had reported that the Jags could potentially be a wild card at No. 5, noting that he wasn't so sure that Graham would be the pick. He then brought up McMillan as a potential draft target because of head coach Liam Coen's affinity for wide receivers.

Ashton Jeanty or Tet McMillan? Who will the Jaguars draft at No. 5?

The truth is that Adam Schefter's bombshell report doesn't come as a surprise. After all, Mason Graham had been favored to go to the Jacksonville Jaguars for months before Ashton Jeanty became the frontrunner the past few weeks. Similarly, chatter about Tetairoa McMillan has soared just days before the NFL Draft.

Following Schefter's scoop, it's a bit easier to narrow down the list of prospects the Jaguars may target at No. 5. The Tennessee Titans will draft Cam Ward first overall. Pass rusher Abdul Carter will go to either the Cleveland Browns at No. 2 or to the New York Giants one pick later. The New England Patriots are reportedly in love with offensive tackle Will Campbell, so you can probably rule him out from going to Jacksonville.

With those players going in the top four, the Jaguars could choose from Jeanty, McMillan, offensive tackle Armand Membou, and pass rusher Jalon Walker. Of the bunch, Jeanty is the one making the most noise, although it may be a smokescreen to prompt teams to inquire about the fifth overall pick. In fact, Jacksonville could be looking to trade down.

In the end, it may not matter who the Jaguars pick if they come out with a playmaker. They need to raise the roster roof and most of the players available at No. 5 will help them accomplish that.
