When the Jacksonville Jaguars face the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs, Trevor Lawrence will take center stage and understandably so. Quarterbacks have the biggest impact on the outcome of a game, and No. 16 will have to be lights out if the Jags want to come out on top.

That said, he isn't the only player who needs to show out if Jacksonville wants to beat the Bills. Just before the game, Mina Kimes of ESPN chose who she thinks will be the X-Factor in the game.

Mina Kimes argues that Cam Little will be a difference-maker for the Jaguars in the playoffs

Mina Kimes had an exchange with ESPN colleague Benjamin Solak about the Jags-Buffalo playoff game. Both of them argued that Cam Little gives Jacksonville an edge over the Bills, pointing out that he gives the Jags a long-distance weapon.

"It is the biggest that you got," Kimes told Solak. "On one hand, the greatest long-distance weapon right now. Sorry, Brendan Aubrey, there's a new sheriff in town. He bangs a 67-yarder in Week 18 outside."

Later in the exchage, Kimes says the Jags have an edge on special teams and ulitmately picks them to win the game.

"These things matter in the playoffs. Nobody talks about special teams until it does. I'm very close in this game, because I do think that the Bills pass defense has been good, but I'm gonna go Jacksonville. Here, the better team."

After a stellar rookie campaign, Little got off to a hot start in 2025. However, he dealt with a midseason funk, and the Jags were being urged to either bring in competition or outright release him. But the team's confidence never wavered, and the former Arkansas Razorback rewarded them with a string of strong performances in the second half of the year.

Following the BYE, Little went 20-of-20 in field goals. Moreover, he nailed seven attempts from 50 yards out, including kicks of 68 and 67 yards. Now, the Moore, Oklahoma native is the only kicker in NFL history to have two field goals of 65+ yards. If that wasn't enough, his 136 points in 2025 were the most in a season in franchise history.

The Jaguars will need Cam Little to come up clutch vs. the Bills

While Cam Little's record-breaking field goal against the Las Vegas Raiders took place in an indoor stadium, he proved in the season finale that he can nail attempts from 65+ yards outside. That could turn out to be handy against a Bills offense that has no trouble putting points on the scoreboard.

Liam Coen hasn't been afraid to go for it on fourth-and-short downs, but he may play it a bit safer in the Buffalo games and take the three points he would get from a field goal. That said, the Jags probably won't hesitate to lean on Little's leg if needed.

The bottom line is that special teams could turn out to play a role in the playoffs, and the Jaguars are most definitely thrilled that they can count on Cam Little coming up clutch.
