The Jacksonville Jaguars are surely hyped up that Brian Thomas Jr. is making a huge effort to bounce back from his disappointing 2025 season. The third-year receiver has been putting in the work in practice, and it shows in his lights-out play at mandatory minicamp.

Just one day after making a climbed-ladder catch, Thomas once again stole the spotlight at minicamp.

Liam Coen keeps feeding the Brian Thomas Jr. hype at Jaguars minicamp

Liam Coen met with the local media after Day 2 of mandatory minicamp. He stated that having consistency in practice will allow Brian Thomas Jr. to perform at a high level come game day.

"Huge for the confidence, as you said, No. 1," Coen responded when asked about Thomas stacking good days (1:00 mark). "I mean, you hear all it's hard to not hear everything right until also for himself, I know there was standards in which he wanted to improve upon, and so the fact that he's just come out here and work his ass off, having a great attitude. Like after every play communication with either myself or Trevor or EB or Grant, whatever it is."

Coen continued, "And then making the play like that is something that you cannot simulate in routes on air. You cannot simulate that type of confidence until you do it in practice. There's nobody that I've known as a player that just can only turn it on in a game, like the whole gamer thing, like I don't fully believe in that. I believe in guys elevating their play to go play in a game, absolutely. But the confidence of the connection and chemistry that they're building, that's real."

The consensus agrees that Thomas has looked like a different player thus far. However, his turnaround hasn't come out of nowhere. He's been performing at a high level dating back to Organized Team Activities, with Pete Prisco of CBS Sports going as far as claiming that the 2024 first-round pick has come back.

Below is one of the jaw-dropping catches Thomas reeled in on Day 2 of minicamp.

Brian Thomas Jr. is getting back on track for the Jaguars

For several months and dating back to the 2025 deadline, Brian Thomas Jr. was at the center of trade chatter. However, the speculation has gone down considerably because he's once again proving he can take over games like he did in 2024, and there's no way the Jags would move him now.

Granted, there's still a long way to go before the regular season, but it's hard to see Thomas suddenly stopping. If anything, he'll keep up stacking good days of practice and prove that last year was an outlier rather than a sign of things to come.

Thomas probably won't amass over 1,200 yards receiving next season like he did as a rookie, but that won't be because he's regressing. Instead, that will be due to the fact that he's part of a well-rounded wide receiver corps that also includes Parker Washington, Travis Hunter, and Jakobi Meyers.

But even if Brian Thomas Jr. comes up short of the 1,000-yard mark, the Jaguars won't mind as long as they get the 2024 version of him. And he's quickly showing that he can be that player again.
