The Jacksonville Jaguars have had mixed results from their 2025 draft class. Travis Hunter, Jacksonville's first-round pick, was fantastic until he got injured. Running back Bhayshul Tuten has proved himself to be a strong and reliable RB2. The rest, though, have had minimal impact.
LeQuint Allen is one of the only exceptions. Picked in the seventh round, he wasn't expected to have much of an impact, yet he's still risen above the low expectations to do better than most people predicted. He's been working hard to make the most of the chance he was given, and each week, it's paying off a little bit more.
The Jaguars are taking on the Tennessee Titans in Week 13, and while the Titans aren't a particularly good team, they're still a division rival, and any team, no matter how bad, can be a threat. (Just see the Jaguars disaster of a performance against the Raiders.) It was vital for Jacksonville to walk away with a win this week, and LeQuint Allen came through in a huge way.
LeQuint Allen’s special teams hustle just put him in exclusive Jaguars company
As the first quarter was coming to a close, the Titans' Chimere Dike geared up for a punt return, only for Allen to show up. He forced a fumble and then recovered it himself, getting the Jaguars the ball back, which then led to a touchdown.

What Allen just did wasn't just a good play; it was near-legendary. In fact, according to the team's PR, only one other Jaguars player has forced a fumble and then recovered it on the same special teams player in the last 25 years.
Ross Matiscik did the same thing, also against Tennessee, in Week 11 of 2023. That puts Allen in very rare company and further proves just how much of a hidden gem he really is. Who would have thought a seventh-round pick would end up being such an asset?
Allen remains at No. 3 behind Tuten and RB1 Travis Etienne, but he's building a strong case for himself all the same. In addition to making huge plays like this, he's proven to be a great blocker, too, and is creating a niche for himself that even Tuten and Etienne can't fill.
And that's in no way a bad thing; there is no such thing as too much versatility in football. Having multiple players who can provide variety on offense will only serve to make this squad even stronger as it rebuilds for the future, and Allen will clearly be an important part of that process.
