Although the Jacksonville Jaguars were a 7.5-point favorite against the Philadelphia Eagles, they struggled throughout the whole game. Whether it was penalties, drops, or a lack of execution, the Jags didn't look like the AFC contender they are expected to be.

Leaving aside that the Eagles defense dominated throughout the game, things got substantially tougher when offensive tackle Anton Harrison suffered a non-contact knee injury.

Harrison was blocking when he suddenly went down without contact. He was promptly carted off, which could be a sign that he sustained a serious injury.

The Jaguars plug in Walker Little at LT when Anton Harrison left

At the time Anton Harrison left the game, the Jags were trailing 14-10. When he left, Walker Little took over at left tackle. On a related note, Eagles fans showed respect toward Harrison, clapping as he left the field.

Looking back, the Jags made the right call to hold onto Little. Throughout the offseason, he was the subject of trade chatter because he was benched in favor of Cole Van Lanen last year. However, the former Stanford Cardinal gave Jacksonville valuable insurance as Van Lanen recovered from a knee injury he sustained late in 2025.

While there's a drop-off from Harrison to Little, Little has ample experience, appearing in 74 games with 34 starts since the Jags picked him in the second round of the 2021 draft.

Circling back to Harrison, it's hard to tell just how much time he'll have to miss, but there's a chance he won't be available the remainder of the year. Either way, Little will remain at left tackle for as long as Harrison is out.

This is noteworthy because Little was drawing trade interest before the deadline, but based on recent events, he won't go anywhere in 2027. In fact, his odds of sticking around in Duval next year may have just gone up.
