The Jacksonville Jaguars still had a few picks left over in the 2025 NFL Draft after the Travis Hunter trade, and it didn't take long for this new front office to instantly spend some capital on the two positions fans have been begging this team to address in the offseason.

Just a few minutes after they selected Tulane defensive back Caleb Ransaw with the No. 88 overall pick, Jacksonville officially moved up to No. 89 overall and selected West Virginia offensive lineman Wyatt Milum. James Gladstone made another fairly safe pick with this choice.

There is no such thing as having too many good offensive linemen in the NFL, and this team's inability to protect Trevor Lawrence was the biggest issue they had over the course of the 2024 season. Milum will help ensure that does not happen with Liam Coen in charge.

Milum played tackle with the Mountaineers, but his profile suggests that he could be the perfect player to convert to guard. His weak spots stem from some poor results when handling great athletes on the outside and struggling to match his technique against more experienced pass rushers.

At guard, Milum could use his tremendous power, heavy hands, and nasty style of play to turn the Jaguars into one of the most effective running teams in the league. The reigning Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year should slot in nicely as a backup in his rookie year before eventually molding himself into a starter.

James Gladstone didn't let the glitz and glamor of the Hunter trade distract him from the fact that he needed to add to his offensive line. With Milum following Ransaw and Hunter to Jacksonville, Gladstone is walking away from his first draft with the Jaguars smelling like a rose.
