It only took Liam Coen one season to win an AFC South championship, leading the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 13-4 record in his first year as a head coach. Jacksonville is playing its best football right now, entering the playoffs on a seven-game winning streak. The Jaguars hope to keep that going in the AFC Wild Card round.

Jacksonville is the No. 3 seed in the conference, so it will be facing off against the No. 6 Buffalo Bills. As a division champion, the Jaguars get to host the game. Here are all the details for what Jacksonville is hoping is the first game of a strong playoff run.

Jaguars vs. Bills Wild Card round details

Jacksonville will kick off a Sunday triple header on January 11, playing Buffalo at 1:00 pm ET. The game will be televised on CBS, and as the case with all playoff games, will be a stand alone, nationally televised game. The action will also be available on Paramount +. The game with Buffalo will start day two of the Wild Card round, with the action kicking off with two NFC games on Saturday. There will also be one playoff game on Monday night.

The Jaguars haven’t played the Bills this season, but both teams have put together phenomenal years. Buffalo finished the regular season 12-5, second in the AFC East behind the 14-3 New England Patriots. The Bills have made the postseason in each of the last seven seasons, advancing to the Conference championship or Divisional round in every year but 2019, when they lost in the Wild Card round.

In other words, Jacksonville will have its hands full. Buffalo is a veteran team that knows how to win in the postseason, and will be looking to get that done again on Sunday. This is another opportunity for the Jaguars to prove themselves, and show that they are a different team in the Liam Coen era. While experience is on the side of the Bills, Jacksonville has home-field advantage. Both things could be factors, but the game will ultimately come down to what the players do on the field on Sunday afternoon.
