The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a massive blow in Week 5 when they lost left tackle Anton Harrison to a knee injury. Walker Little filled in for him and is expected to start against the Houston Texans in Week 6.

While Little struggled in 2025, the Jags are confident that he's going to come through against Houston. Head coach Liam Coen confirmed as much ahead of the team's second game in London.

Liam Coen is confident Walker Little will come through for the Jaguars

Liam Coen met with the local media before the Jags are set to face the Texans. He said that Walker Little will start at left tackle, noting that he did a good job of holding the fort in Week 5.

"Yeah. He did a good job. Did a nice job," Coen told the media (0:23 mark). "He's long. He did some really good things in the run game. And so, anytime you're playing good rushers, you got to have a plan. It takes all 11, it's not just those tackles. It's having a plan."

Coen's remarks about Little getting the nod at left tackle are noteworthy because that means Cole Van Lanen will remain at right tackle. Little was the left tackle last year but was benched in favor of Van Lanen late in the season. However, Van Lanen moved to right tackle when Jacksonville plugged Anton Harrison in at left tackle.

Either way, Coen says that losing Harrison stings but is confident that Little and Van Lanen will come through.

"Anytime you lose a player for a game, it's always a challenge. But I have a lot of confidence in Walker and Cole to go in there. And these guys have played these guys so many times and have had success against them and know what they're in for in terms of the battle and "next man up" mentality."

A second-round pick in 2021, Little has appeared in 75 games with 39 starts for Jacskonville. Granted, he struggled in 2025, giving up nine sacks and 47 total pressures. On top of that, the former Stanford Cardinal was flagged 10 times.

On the other hand, Little had a solid performance against the Eagles, allowing no sacks or pressures. Sure, he committed a holding penalty, but Jacksonville as a whole had 13 penalties.

Why Walker Little could thrive vs. the Texans

Walker Little has a tough test ahead. Last year, he gave up 14 pressures and one sack in two games against Houston. He'll line up against Danielle Hunter in Week 6, and you can bet the Texans will try to take advantage of Anton Harrison's absence.

One thing working in Little's favor is that Hunter hasn't been nearly as dominant as he's been in past seasons. Moreover, Jacksonville could send him help with either Brenton Strange or Nate Boerkircher.

Of course, none of that will matter if Walker Little doesn't rise to the occasion. The good news is that the Jaguars are confident that he will.
