Even after re-signing cornerback Montaric Brown and linebacker Dennis Gardeck, getting defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile more help remains a priority for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The good news is that they have ammo to come out of the NFL Draft with plenty of talent and depth.
Right now, defensive tackle and the pass rush appear to be the Jags' biggest needs. They could easily address both of them in Rounds 2 and 3 and focus on adding reinforcements at other position groups in later rounds. That's precisely what Chad Reuter of NFL Media projects them to do.
The Jaguars pick Rayshaun Benny at No. 56 in Round 2 of NFL Media's mock draft
Chad Reuter did a four-round mock draft in which the Jaguars take Michigan defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny at No. 56. With the 81st selection, they roll with safety A.J. Haulcy (LSU). Jacksonville then chose linebacker Kyle Louis (Pitt) and cornerback Charles Dennings (Stephen F. Austin State) with picks No. 88 and No. 100, respectively.
In Round 4 of Reuter's mock, the Jags bolster their tight end room with Marlin Klein (Michigan). All things considered, this would be an enticing haul.
And in case you were wondering, Jacksonville doesn't have a first-round pick in 2026 after including it in a package to trade up for two-way star Travis Hunter last year. On the other hand, the Jaguars have two additional selections in Round 3 after agreeing with the Lions to move down.
Benny would be a huge addition in Round 2. According to The Draft Network, his natural power is a huge reason he excels at stuffing the run. Moreover, he possesses the athleticism and quickness to make an impact against the run and as a pass rusher.
However, Benny had limited production getting after the quarterback and still needs to develop a pass-rush arsenal, but TDN argues that he has the tools to develop into a three-down defensive tackle in the NFL.

The Jaguars check off many boxes in this NFL Mock Draft
Beyond Rayshaun Benny, the Jaguars would address their most pressing needs in NFL Media's mock draft. The trio of A.J. Haulcy, Kyle Louis, and Charles Dennings would provide depth and potentially fill the void by the exits of Andrew Wingard, Devin Lloyd, and Greg Newsome in free agency.
On the other hand, Marlin Klein would give Jacksonville a blocking tight end with the potential to turn into a solid pass catcher.
The one group the Jags don't address is the pass rush. Then again, the reason Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen weren't nearly as effective last year is that opposing teams could devote double teams to them because Jacksonville was unable to routinely bring the hit from inside.
It's fair to assume that Walker and Hines-Allen will have more success getting after the quarterback if the Jags add a playmaker at defensive tackle in the draft.
When you add it all up, this mock draft gives Anthony Campanile the talent to turn his unit into one of the best in the NFL.
