The Jacksonville Jaguars showed complete dominance in their 35-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11: The running game was clicking, the offensive line set the tone at the line of scrimmage, and rookies B.J. Green II and Danny Striggow flashed pass-rush potential. Having said that, there was a moment that left the Jags with a bitter taste in the mouth.

Green registered the first sack of his NFL career. However, it was called back because of a bogus roughing the passer call. To add insult to the injury, he was fined for the play, even though he couldn't have done anything differently. Fortunately, Josh Hines-Allen stepped in to make things right.

Jaguars leader Josh Hines-Allen is paying for BJ Green II's fine

Josh Hines-Allen says that he told BJ Green after the win over the Chargers that he would take care of the fine for the questionable roughing the passer penalty, pointing out that he has to take care of his rooks.

"When B.J. sacked him, he was pissed about it. I got mad at him for a second, 'Bro, don't get mad at that man.' That is momentum; all that means something," Hines-Allen said during an appearance on the Kay Adams Show. "And I told him, I paid fine, or half of it, whatever. If you do get fined, like, 'Bro, just play ball, bro.' Like, because if you get your head down now, then that's gonna affect you later. And for them, that's like, we already were killing them."

During the exchange with Adams, Hines-Allen also heaped praise on Green and Danny Striggow, pointing out that the rookie duo has put in the work to make an impact on the field.

"Those are my rooks. Man, I take pride in being a leader and being a vet to those guys. For those two to be undrafted, to make the 53, I see they come into work every single day, not wanting to waste a moment. They challenge our offensive line each and every day in practice. They're pissed when it's a walkthrough tempo, because they know that that's their reps to get better. And they understand that. And they come in, try to still know the game plan, what we're doing defensively," Allen said.

"They stay extra. They get there early, they do treatment, they eat right, you know what I'm saying? Like, they just do things the right way. They're my rooks, and they show up. They show up. They've never batted an eye when we said we needed snacks. We needed this. We need food for the plane. We need no they. They know their role, and they know it. Come back good for them. So we take good care of them as vets and but they do, they're supposed to do man in the shows. "

The Jaguars have a pair of promising pass rushers in Danny Striggow and BJ Green

As Josh Hines-Allen pointed out, the fact that Danny Striggow and B.J. Green made the initial 53-man roster is impressive because they both signed with the Jaguars as undrafted free agents. However, it wasn't until the Chargers game that both got meaningful snaps.

It paid off as Striggow and Green flashed pass-rush potential, registering a combined four total pressures. It's fair to say that they did enough to earn more playing time moving forward.

Since joining the Jaguars, Danny Striggow and B.J. Green have been putting in the work to make an impact. Josh Hines-Allen just acknowledged their effort by paying the latter's fine.
