Most NFL fans only know Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones for what was perhaps the most embarrassing moment of his football career, as Saquon Barkley's backwards hurdle over him has been forever immortalized on both highlight reels and video game covers.
Jones has remained locked in as one of Jacksonville's key defensive players after the loss of Travis Hunter pushed him up the depth chart. In the team's duel against Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos on the road, the former Florida State Seminole managed to both symbolically put the hurdler behind him and pull off a clutch turnover.
Jones was again involved in a play where a football player hurdled another, only he was the one doing the hurdling this time. After seemingly putting that demon in his past, Jones was able to help blunt a Denver rally by making a timely play on fourth down when the Broncos were driving.
Jones intercepted Nix when he was trying to convert a first down, which was one of many plays that helped the Jaguars polish off a 34-20 victory against a Broncos team that came into this contest having won 11 straight games and boasting one of the toughest home-field advantages in the NFL.

Jaguars CB Jarrian Jones redeems himself with insane hurdle, Bo Nix interception
While Trevor Lawrence tallying four total touchdowns was the biggest driving factor behind Jacksonville's upset road victory against Denver, Jones and the defense deserve a ton of respect for facing one of the best offenses in football and limiting them to just 20 points.
The Jaguars are now 11-4 and in possession of the No. 3 seed in the AFC. Some losses from the New England Patriots could help them move into the No. 2 seed, while Denver bottoming out could be enough to push them to the No. 1 seed if they continue to win out.
Jones is not the best player in the Jacksonville secondary, but he has shown a propensity for making plays in an Anthony Campinale defense that is often willing to give up some big plays if it means that it can generate turnovers. His development has been exciting for Jaguars fans to see.
Now that Jarrian Jones has put the hurdle behind him and established himself as a key member of one of the more difficult-to-face teams in the AFC, he can gear up for a playoff run that will pit the Jags against the best of the best in the conference.
