The Jacksonville Jaguars lost 31-27 to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. And one of the biggest developments in the games was that Brian Thomas Jr. was a non-factor. One day after the bout, head coach Liam Coen cited an undisclosed wrist injury as the reason for the sophomore's underwhelming performance.
Surprisingly, Thomas did pop up on the initial injury report for the Week 3 divisional matchup. However, he got the full participant designation. On the other hand, a handful of Jaguars didn't practice Wednesday.
The Jaguars include Brian Thomas Jr. and Ezra Cleveland on Wednesday's injury report
The Jaguars shared their initial Week 3 injury report. Brian Thomas Jr. made an appearance even though he was a full go. Starting offensive guard Ezra Cleveland and tight end Hunter Long also popped up with "Did Not Practice" designations.

This isn't particularly shocking when you take into account that Mia O'Brien of ESPN Radio reported that neither Cleveland nor Long participated in Wednesday's practice.
On a related note, O'Brien also pointed out that cornerback Buster Brown and rookie offensive guard Wyatt Milum are back at practice after being limited participants last week. Both of them were ultimately made inactives.
But wait, there's more. Cornerback Jarrian Jones and rookie Bhayshul Tuten had non-contact jerseys on Wednesday but partook in practice but did it on a limited basis.
The Jaguars may roll with Chuma Edoga if Ezra Cleveland isn't good to go
During training camp, the Jaguars rotated the offensive linemen in case injury struck. They tried several combinations, and it will be interesting to see which one they end up using against the Bengals if Ezra Cleveland isn't available.
Chuma Edoga has been inconsistent throughout his career before joining the Jaguars but made a strong impression in training camp. He could get the starting nod at left guard. Another option would be to move right guard Patrick Mekari to the opposite side and plug Edoga at right guard, where he routinely lined up in the offseason.
There's also a chance that Wyatt Milum could make his NFL debut, but given that he's still recovering from a training-camp injury, the team's brass may not want to rush him back. At this point, it woudl be shocking to see him play given his limited participation in practice. Either way, Jacksonville has options.
Of course, the Jags would like to see Cleveland suit up against the Bengals. After all, he's gotten off to a strong start to the NFL season, registering a Pro Football Focus overall grade of 75.5 while giving up just four pressures and no sacks.
On the other hand, Montaric Brown also stood out in training camp. Unfortunately, he suffered the leg injury that kept him out of the preseason and the first two games of the season. Once the former Arkansas Razorback is back, though, he could give the Jags an option in case Jarrian Jones continues to struggle.
For the time being, things appear to be fluid, so it's hard to tell who'll miss the Bengals game. The one thing that is certain is that Brain Thaoms Jr. is trending toward playing.
