The Jacksonville Jaguars have exceeded expectations in 2025. Projected to win six or seven games in the first year of the Liam Coen era, they've already racked up five victories. That said, the Jags have experienced several ups and downs throughout and have yet to show that they're a playoff team.
After beating the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville suffered a humiliating loss to the Houston Texans in Week 10. Their defense couldn't generate a pass rush, the offensive line couldn't block, and injuries held the team back. Leading 29-10 in the fourth quarter, the Jags allowed Houston to mount the biggest comeback in team history, and ended up losing 30-29.
But as demoralizing as the loss to the Texans was, the Jaguars must focus on the task at hand. In Week 11, they'll welcome the Los Angeles Chargers and will have a golden opportunity to bounce back. In fact, this game could turn out to make or break their season.
A win against the Bolts will keep Jacksonville in the playoff conversation, but their odds will suffer a massive dip with a loss. It's fair to say that the stakes will be high, so the Jags will need to clean up their execution and keep mistakes to a minimum if they want to come out on top. With this in mind, here's a look at their injuries ahead of the game.
Parker Washington is available, but the Jaguars are not expected to have Brian Thomas Jr.
Parker Washington has become one of the team's most reliable receivers, so his appearance on the injury report for the Chargers certainly raised concerns. However, he returned to practice the following day and is a full-go for Week 11. On the other hand, Brian Thomas Jr. probably won't play. The sophomore receiver suffered an ankle sprain against the Raiders and missed the Texans game. With him out of the picture, it will be up to Washington and Jakobi Meyers to pick up the slack.
Aside from Thomas, the Jaguars won't have Anton Harrison (knee/ankle) and Jourdan Lewis (neck). Both of them have already been ruled out for the game. Cole Van Lanen will tentatively fill in for Harrison at right guard, and Jarrian Jones will man the slot during Lewis' absence.
Tight end Hunter Long has also been ruled out, so Johnny Mundt will get the start. Brenton Strange returned to practice after his 21-day window to return was open. However, he officially remains on the Injury Reserve and will need at least one more week before he returns.
Know that you know who'll play and who won't, here are the list of inactives for today's game.
Jaguars inactives for the Chargers game in Week 11:
• Jourdan Lewis, cornerback
• Brian Thomas Jr., wide receiver
• Anton Harrison, right tackle
• Hunter Long, tight end
• Cody Schrader, running back
• Emmanuel Ogbah, defensive end
