The Jacksonville Jaguars had no trouble trouncing the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night, easily winning 33-10. One of the highlights of the game took place just before halftime, with Trevor Lawrence finding wide receiver Parker Washington to make it 23-3.

The moment was surely demoralizing for the Ravens, as it severely decreased their odds of winning the game. On the other hand, it gifted the Jaguars a favorable lead to start the second half. On top of that, it gave us a hilarious interaction between Lawrence and Washington.

Parker Washington didn't see Parker Washington after he scored

Right after Parker Washington scored, Trevor Lawrence looked for him to congratulate him, but Washington was so busy celebrating that he left his quarterback hanging.

Leaving aside just how fun the moment was, here's what Lawrence had to say about how the play developed.

"Yeah, it was covered zero," Lawrence told reporters after the game. "Baltimore, they've had a bunch of different defensive coordinators, but I thought they've always done a good job of showing a lot of pressure," Lawrence said after the game. "Sometimes bringing a lot of pressure, giving you some interesting looks, and I think that was part of their plan today for sure."

Lawrence continued, "And that was one where it was cover zero, and so we got to the protection check, and Parker had a seam, and he just crossfaced on the cover-zero safety there and made a great play. I saw what he was going to do, and so I let it go early. And you know, he did a great job winning the route and then taking it to the house."

Washington ended the night with two catches for 62 yards with a touchdown. He's averaging a jaw-dropping 17.0 yards per reception this season.

The Jaguars need to keep Parker Washington and Trevor Lawrence together

One of the biggest storylines this season is whether Parker Washington will stay in Duval beyond 2026. He's currently in a contract year and is currently on pace to post career highs on both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

Already, the former Penn State Nittany Lion reportedly rejected an offer that would have paid him an average of $25 million per year. So far, the decision to bet on himself has paid off, and nobody would bat an eye if he ends up asking for $30 million per year. You can bet that he could get that or even more if he hits the open market, which leaves Jacksonville in a bind.

Do the Jags pay Washington, even though it may be harder to sign other players in free agency? But if they don't, who'll replace him? Does wide receiver become a priority in the offseason? Sure, keeping the Sugar Land Texans native won't come cheap, but the potential drawbacks outweigh the pros.

When you factor in that Parker Washington is one of Trevor Lawrence's favorite targets, extending him, regardless of how expensive it will be, becomes a no-brainer.
