The Jacksonville Jaguars will find themselves at a crossroads when they welcome the Houston Texans in Week 13. A win against their divisional foe will keep their playoff hope alive while a loss would bring their season to a screeching halt.

At 2-9, the Jags are 5-point underdog at home. This makes sense when you take into account that they were riding a four-game losing streak before their BYE. Three of their losses were close, but it's hard to get behind them following the 52-6 humiliation to the Chicago Bears.

Head coach Doug Pederson is well aware that the Jaguars aren't getting much love due to their lackluster record, but he and the team are trying to tune out the noise and focus on the task at hand.

"It can be a challenge if you let it and each day I walk into this building, I choose not to let it get me down," Pederson said when asked how tough is it to keep focus and players dialed in when things aren't going great. "I choose to be energetic around the football team. I choose a message each week that I feel is important that the guys need to hear. Of course, that applies to keys to victory, different things that we do throughout the course, and things we talk about as a team as the week progresses.

Pederson continued, "I know there's a lot of negativity around us, and rightfully so. We understand that, around me, I understand that, but I choose not to listen to it, and I choose to go the other way and be positive because you only get so many days and so many opportunities in this league, and then, your days are done."

"When they're done, you look back and you go, 'Hey, I gave it. I gave everything that I had to these players, to this team, to this league, and that's what I choose. I choose to go out every single day and try to make a difference for this team."
