The Jacksonville Jaguars are surely disappointed about how things have played out in 2024. Apart from being outside the playoff picture, they got their Week 9 primetime game flexed because they're not good enough. Set to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night, the Jags will now play in the afternoon slate.

Just a few weeks ago, it looked like Jacksonville could spurn momentum and potentially start a playoff push. It had won two games in three weeks, and its offense was playing much better. Unfortunately, they weren't able to build off of it and lost to the Green Bay Packers in Week 9.

You could argue that the Jags lost by a whisker — specifically a walk-off field goal — but the truth is that good teams come out on top in situations like this. They didn't are now four games behind the Houston Texans in the AFC South race. Having said that, they aren't just going to throw in the towel.

As underwhelming as Jacksonville has been, it doesn't look like its players have given up, contrary to what safety Andre Cisco suggested after the loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 6. Similarly, head coach Doug Pederson hasn't lost the locker room, or his grasp is at least strong enough to ensure the team doesn't go through the motion.

Heading into Week 9, the Jaguars are a 7.5-point underdog. A win at the Lincoln Financial Field currently appears to be a stretch, but maybe they'll be incentivized to win to keep their season alive. We'll find out more on Sunday afternoon. For the time being, here's how you can watch the game with and without cable.

Jaguars vs. Eagles game details for Week 9:

Kickoff time: 4:05 p.m. ET
Location: Lincoln Financial Field
All-time record: The Eagles lead the series 4-3.

Because the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars play in different conferences, they don't play often. The last time these two teams faced each other was in 2022, Doug Pederson's first year with the Jags. While the game was competitive, they ultimately lost.

It's also worth noting that Jacksonville is riding a four-game losing skid ahead of the game, and you need to go back to the distant year of 2006 (nearly 20 years ago) to find the last time the Jaguars beat Philly.
