The Jacksonville Jaguars are entering Year 2 of the James Gladstone era. After finishing 4-13 in 2024, they ousted head coach Doug Pederson and replaced him with Liam Coen. Shockingly, the Jags seemed intent on keeping general manager Trent Baalke, who also played a role in the team's inability to win games.

However, Jacksonville moved on from Baalke once it became clear that they weren't going to be able to land a competent head coach. Not long after, they brought in Coen.

Together, Coen and Gladstone oversaw a turnaround, leading the Jaguars to a 13-4 record and a trip to the postseason. Now, the duo faces new challenges to ensure their success in 2025 isn't an outlier but rather a sign of things to come. One of the biggest ones is that Jacksonville doesn't have much cap space.

What kind of cap shape the Jaguars are in before free agency kicks?

Early in March, the Jags were around $16 million over the cap. After reworking several deals, though, they've managed to free up enough space to comply with the cap. The front office will continue to make moves to continue to get relief, but it may not be nearly enough to bring back many of their players who are scheduled to hit the open market. And with this in mind, here's a look at a list of their free agents.

Devin Lloyd, Montaric Brown, and Travis Etienne lead the list of Jaguars free agents

One of the reasons the Jaguars were so successful is that Liam Coen was able to get the most out of players who might've underachieved or suffered injuries under the previous regime. Linebacker Devin Lloyd, cornerback Montaric Brown, and running back Travis Etienne fit that category.

Lloyd had a banner season after having his fifth-year option declined last offseason. Similarly, Brown broke out under defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile. Etienne, for his part, bounced back from an injury-marred season and went on to total 1,399 yards from scrimmage and set a personal best of 13 total touchdowns. Maybe the Jags can bring one (possibly two) of them, but it's hard to see the three of them returning.

But beyond the talented trio of game-changers, Jacksonville has other players scheduled to hit the open market. Below is the full list.

Jaguars full list of pending free agents

The Jaguars have 13 free agents after giving a one-year deal to tight end Quintin Morris and bringing back running back DeeJay Dallas and defensive tackle Matt Dickerson in February. Here are all of them.

Unrestricted free agents just had their contracts exhave four or more accrued seasons — they get credited with an accrued season if they suit up for six games in a season. They can sign with any team.

Jaguars exclusive rights free agents in 2026

Exclusive rights free agents have three or fewer accrued seasons. If a team places a tender on them, they cannot negotiate with another team. If they don't get a tender, they hit the open market.
