Heading into Week 2, Foyesade Oluokun made a surprise appearance on Thursday's injury report. However, head coach Liam Coen expects the eighth-year veteran to suit up against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Oluokun logged 10 tackles, one forced fumble, and an interception in the 26-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. His inclusion on the injury report with an illness raised questions about his availability for Week 2. But when asked about his status for the Bengals game, Coen simply stated that he expects him to play.

Apart from Foyesade Oluokun, swing tackle Cole Van Lanen, cornerback Montaric Brown, offensive guard Wyatt Milum, and right tackle Anton Harrison popped up on the report.

Milum didn't practice ahead of the game, so it's no surprise to see that he's already been ruled out. On the other hand, Van Lanen missed the preseason and was limited ahead of the opener. However, he's now a full go against Cincy.

Surprisingly, Montaric Brown is listed as doubtful for the game after being a limited participant. Below is the full report.

On the Cincinnati sideline, offensive tackle Amarius Mims (ankle) and defensive tackle B.J. Hill (ankle) were listed as limited during the week but will be available for the game.

The Jaguars would've been fine even without Foyesade Oluokun

Ever since he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2022, Foyesade Oluokun has gone on to become a mainstay of their defense. On top of that, he's one of the team's most respected veterans. The fact that his teammates voted him captain for the fourth consecutive year is proof of it. That said, the Jags would be in a position to withstand his absence.

Oluokun played all 64 snaps in the opener. Devin Lloyd and Dennis Gardeck were next among Jacksonville linebackers with 17 and 16, respectively. Both of them, along with Ventrell Miller, would see an uptick in playing time if Oluokun misses time. Rookie Jack Kiser is also in the mix, so the Jags most definitely have enough depth at the position.

Of course, having Foye around would most definitely boost the Jags' chances of beating the Bengals. The Browns gave up an average of 2.0 yards per carry and limited Joe Burrow to 113 passing yards. Yet, they still lost, so the Jaguars will surely want to play with a full deck to give themselves a shot.

The Jaguars are currently a 3.5-point underdog for the game. Missing Foyesade Oluokun might not have hurt them, but having him around will most definitely help.
