The Jacksonville Jaguars did what any good team is supposed to do when they played the New York Jets in Week 15: They dominanted a lesser opponent en route to a 48-20 win. Next on their schedule are the Denver Broncos, the toughest roadblock in the second half of the season.
Already, the Week 16 matchup is generating plenty of hype, as a win over the Denver Broncos will prove that the Jags are legit. Sure, they're won five in a row, but none of their recent opponents were nearly as talented as Denver.
The good news is that Jacksonville is up to the challenge. The offense has had no trouble putting points on the scoreboard since the BYE, while the defense has had no trouble choking opposing teams. Then again, the Broncos are the No. 1 team in the AFC and will be a good barometer of just how good the Jags truly are. With this in mind, here are the odds and spread for this Week 16 conference contest.

Bold Montaric Brown prediction for the Jaguars game vs. the Broncos
One of the most pleasant surprises this season has been Montaric Brown. A seventh-round pick in 2022, he had previously been pressed into action, but it wasn't until 2025 that he seized a starting job. As John Shipley of Sports Illustrated suggested on social media after the win over the Jets, coaching matters, and the arrival of defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile has truly unlocked his potential.
In previous years, Brown also got significant playing time. However, he was inconsistent. Once Campanile arrived in 2025, though, it all changed. The Ashdown, Arkansas native had a strong offseaosn and even made a bid for a starting job before a leg injury forced him to miss the preseason and the start of the regular season.
When Brown returned, he picked up where he left off. Right off the bat, he got a starting job and has become a mainstay of the Jacksonville secondary, registering a career-best two interceptions and eight passes defensed.
When the Jaguars play Denver, Brown will most likely shadow Courtland Sutton the majority of the game, expect him to shut him down and pick off quarterback Bo Nix not one, but twice. This will allow him to keep rising his stock ahead of free agency.
