Just a couple of days before the 2025 NFL Draft took place, rumors suddenly emerged that the Jacksonville Jaguars were planning to take a bold swing. They ended up trading up to select two-way star Travis Hunter. Although the Jags only moved up three spots, it didn't come cheap.
In exchange for the second overall selection, a fourth-rounder and a sixth-round pick, Jacksonville had to give up its 2025 first-round pick, a 2025 second-round pick, a 2025 sixth-round pick, and a 2026 first-rounder.
With the Browns using the 2026 first-round pick they got from the Jaguars on Texas Tech A&M receiver KC Concepcion, the trade is finally complete.
The Jaguars trade for Travis Hunter if complete after the Browns drafted
KC Concepcion gives the Browns the much-needed No. 2 they desperately needed opposite Jerry Jeudy. For context, he was No. 33 in Fansided's top-50 big board. The former Texas A&M Aggie is a great route-runner and explosive. However, he doesn't have great hands, which could hinder his impact in Cleveland.
After the Browns moved back to No. 5, they selected Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham. It's worth noting that during the draft process, the Jags were connected to the former Wolverine. He ended up being a fine starter as a rookie, but didn't do much to write home about.
With the second-round selection Cleveland got in the trade, it selected running back Quinshon Judkins. With the fourth-rounder, the Browns drafted another running back, Dylan Simpson.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars drafted running back Bhayshul Tuten with the fourth-rounder they got as part of the deal. Then, with the 200th selection, they chose safety Rayuan Lane III.
So in case you weren't able to keep up, here's what the Jags and the Browns did with the picks they got in the deal.

How has the Travis Hunter trade go for the Jaguars?
The Jaguars have gotten plenty of flak for the Travis Hunter trade, deservedly or not, because the former Colorado Buffalo hasn't lived up to the game-altering expectations that came from the blockbuster deal. Granted, he was never going to play two ways in the NFL, simply because of the toll it takes. Heck, players who play just one position get injured all the time and are banged up by the end of the year.
With this in mind, Hunter didn't make enough plays as a rookie, but some of that was due to the fact that he faced a steeper learning curve than most first-year players. And then, when he broke out against the Los Angeles Rams, he suffered a season-ending injury not long after.
Had Hunter stayed healthy, his production would have looked much better, and not nearly as many questions would have emerged. The good news is that No. 12 is ahead of schedule in his recovery from the LCL injury, and if he can make big plays at corner, the trade will look much better.
For the time being, we now know what the Browns did with the haul they got in return for the second overall selection. It will be interesting to see what kind of return they end up getting two years from now.
