The Jacksonville Jaguars said early in 2025 that they weren't interested in trading Brian Thomas Jr., noting that he was a big part of their offensive puzzle. But after seeing a drop-off in playing time, the 2024 first-round pick is once again the subject of speculation.

According to Dan Graziano of ESPN, teams will be monitoring Thomas' status ahead of the deadline, but he may not be the only Jaguar who'll garner trade interest.

Clubs in need of help at either offensive tackle spot may reach out to Jacksonville to inquire about Walker Little, the swing tackle behind Cole Van Lanen and Anton Harrison.

Why other teams may want to trade for Jaguars OT Walker Little

Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report drew up a list of 10 players who could change teams at the 2026 trade deadline. He included Walker Little, noting that his versatility to play multiple spots in the offensive trenches could make him a hot commodity.

The New England Patriots could be a landing spot for Little. They need reinforcements at right guard after starter Mike Onwenu landed on the Injured Reserve with a broken foot. Compounding the issue is that his backup, Greg Van Roten, is dealing with injuries of his own.

Keep in mind that Little has lined up at both guard spots throughout his stint with the Jags. He filled in for Patrick Mekari at right guard late in 2025, so he could most definitely help the Pats. That said, Knox's suggested price of a 6th-rounder may not be enough to get a deal done.

The Jaguars aren't in a hurry to trade Little. Heck, they kept him in the offseason as insurance while Van Lanen recovered from a knee injury. If the Pats or any other team wants to get him, they'll need to sweeten their deal.

This doesn't mean that Little is worth a second-rounder, let alone a first, but Jacksonville should b be in a position to demand at least a fourth.

Why the Jaguars can keep or trade Walker Little

Walker Little, a second-round pick in 2021, was the center of trade speculation because he was benched in favor of Cole Van Lanen in 2025. However, he's got ample starting experience. This is why the Jags opted to hold onto him despite the fact that trading him would have freed up $11.5 million in space.

And that's the thing, Jacksonville knows that it's hard to find quality offensive tackles, and that's precisely the reason teams will need to make a solid offer for him. Otherwise, the Jags can simply keep Little and make a decision on him next year, when he's set to count $15.5 million against the cap, but trading him would create $13 million in space.

Simply put, the Jaguars have leverage, so unless a team desperate enough makes an offer they like, Walker Little isn't going anywhere.
