Although the Jacksonville Jaguars have repeatedly stated that they're not interested in trading Brian Thomas Jr., multiple teams across the NFL believe he'll be available at the November 10 deadline. This is understandable when you take into account that the 2024 first-round pick has dealt with drops and inconsistency dating back to last year. But based on how things played out in the win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Jags may be hesitant to part ways with him.
Thomas got off to a strong start against Indy, reeling in a 12-yard touchdown pass that put the Jaguars up 7-0.

Before the game, Thomas made it clear that he wasn't paying attention to the trade rumors and was instead focused on helping his team. He delivered on his word.
Brian Thomas Jr. could give the Jaguars a tough decision at the trade deadline
Before Week 8, head coach Liam Coen stated that he expected Brian Thomas Jr. to make plays against the Colts. However, it was uncertain whether the third-year wideout was actually going to be targeted come game day.
True to his word, though, Coen gave Thomas an opportunity to show he could still contribute. Granted, he was only targeted once again the remainder of the game and dropped a pass in tight coverage. Having said that, the third-year wideout most definitely took a step in the right direction against Indy.
On the other hand, Thomas still has a long way to go to regain his team's trust **if** he stays in Duval. In fact, the Jags could still trade him even after he registered his second touchdown of the year, which is why his current status ahead of the deadline is worth monitoring.

The Jaguars will have options with Brian Thomas Jr. at the trade deadline
The Jaguars may truly want to keep Brian Thomas Jr., but could most definitely afford to trade him because they also have rookie Josh Cameron and Travis Hunter in the mix. On the other hand, the Jags could keep him as insurance in case they suffer injuries at receiver.
But if Jacksonville does make Thomas available, he could garner plenty of interest among teams in need of help at receiver. It's hard to tell just what kind of compensation the former LSU Tiger would command because he's been underwhelming this season. However, he also had nearly 1,300 yards with 10 touchdowns as a rookie. That may be a compelling enough reason for a club to take a flyer on him.
The truth is that Brian Thomas Jr.'s situation didn't get any cleaner in the win over the Colts. While a trade is expected, at this point, anything could happen.
