The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting ready to welcome the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium in Week 1 of the regular season. While there's a chance a couple of their players will sit out the bout, the Jags are mostly healthy.
Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, running back LeQuint Allen Jr., and offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen popped up on the first two injury reports ahead of the season opener. Left tackle Anton Harrison joined them Friday, but his appearance shouldn't be a reason for concern.

Travis D. Holmes of SB Nation posted on Twitter that Anton Harrison was absent from practice Friday. That led to questions about his availability for the season opener. Although sickness was rumored to be the reason for not showing up, it turned out that he had a foot injury. The good news is that the 2023 first-round pick had no designation for the game. The same is true for Cole Van Lanen and Jakobi Meyers. That said, LeQuint Allen Jr. was listed as questionable on the final injury report.

Harrision has made 48 starts at right tackle since 2023. However, he'll be switching to left tackle full-time next season.
Both Allen and Cole Van Lanen will be game-time decisions, according to head coach Liam Coen. But based on the former's most recent status, there's a chance he'll sit out the contest. Then again, there's no guarantee Van Lanen will play. Then again, the fact that he didn't get a designation bodes well.
On the Browns sideline, offensive guard Teven Jenkins has been ruled out, and Parker Brailsford was listed as questionable with a thumb injury.

The Jaguars have several favorable matchups vs. the Browns
The Jaguars would love LeQuint Allen Jr. to suit up against the Browns, but if he isn't good to go, veteran Ameer Abdullah can fill in for him as RB3 behind Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Bhayshul Tuten.
Like Allen, Abdullah excels in pass protection and can catch the football out of the backfield. So if he plays in Week 1, he'll mostly see time in passing downs.
On defense, the Jacksonville defense will have a favorable matchup. With Teven Jenkins missing the game, first-year offensive guard Austin Barber will get the start at right guard, making him the second rookie offensive lineman who'll start for the Browns in the season opener. Left tackle Spencer Fano will be the other.
Now, the Jaguars cannot afford to overlook the Browns, but they should most definitely feel good about their chances of ending their dreadful losing skid to quarterback Deshaun Watson.
