The Jacksonville Jaguars need some help in their secondary, and there is a very real chance they could land a true once-in-a-generation talent in Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter in the 2025 NFL Draft. He could slide to the No. 5 overall pick, or the Jags could make an aggressive trade up to get him.

However, if Hunter is of the board by the time the Jaguars make their first pick, that shouldn't be a five-alarm fire for Liam Coen. Jacksonville can still fix their poor secondary depth in what is an underrated class for cornerbacks.

Even if the Hunter pipe dream is nothing more than a pie-in-the-sky best case scenario, the Jaguars can head into 2025 feeling good about their defense if they select one of these six cornerbacks in the NFL Draft. New DC Anthony Campinale would have a ton to work with here.

6 cornerbacks not named Travis Hunter Jaguars could add in 2025 NFL Draft

6. Dorian Strong, Virginia Tech

Strong is very light at just a hair over 180 pounds, but he may be one of the stickiest Day 2 cornerbacks on the market. Strong's terrific speed and aggressive style of play will be enough to overlook concerns about his poor tackling.

5. Darien Porter, Iowa State

On the flip side of that coin, Porter is a 6-4 cornerback who can overwhelm even bigger receivers with his length, strength, and nose for the ball. With solid speed to boot, Porter can play a role right away in Jacksonville despite the fact some are concerned about his tackling in space.

4. Azareye'h Thomas, Florida State

Thomas could follow former FSU teammate Jarrian Jones over to Jacksonville. Thomas may not be the best at creating turnovers at this point in his career, but it won't be a hard sell for GM James Gladstone to see the potential in a fluid, 6-2 athlete at the cornerback spot with exceptional lateral mobility.

3. Shavon Revel Jr, East Carolina

Revel robbed fans of a truly spectacular final season due to an unfortunate knee injury he has since recovered from. His tape is genuinely fantastic, so much so that his size and ball skills may have made him a mid first round pick if he was healthy. He'd be an ideal Round 2 target in his current state.

2. Jahdae Barron, Texas

Barron did a little bit of everything for the Longhorns last season, which gives him the unofficial title of the most versatile non-Hunter DB on the market. Barron isn't the biggest DB out there, but he is a premium athlete with experience at multiple positions, which will be highly appealing for a team like Jacksonville.

1. Will Johnson, Michigan

Picking Johnson at No. 5 overall if Hunter is not on the board is by no means a stretch, as Johnson was consistently locking down some of the best receivers in the country and playing a vital role on a national champion Wolverines team. Johnson could start right away and immediately use his frame, smarts, and athleticism to compete for Pro Bowls.
