The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't wear pads on Day 6 of training camp like they did the practice prior. However, the intensity didn't drop. One theme through the day was that the defense dominated. That's noteworthy because the Jags are loaded on offense, especially at wide receiver. Then again, their defense isn't a pushover.
Cornerback and safety could be strengths for Jacksonville next season. That was evident on Day 6 when Jarrian Jones, Antonio Johnson, and Eric Murray recorded one interception each. Defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile was most definitely pleased with his unit's performance, noting that they're trying to do "all the fundamental things that are important to winning and playing good football."
With this in mind, here are five standouts from Day 6. As you guessed, most of them are on defense.
BJ Green II, Jaguars defensive end
Head coach Liam Coen has gushed about B.J. Green II. Josh Hines-Allen also spoke highly of him. The sophomore defensive end showed on Day 6 that all the praise is warranted. Just one day after a strong performance, he put together another productive practice.
Jamal St. Cyr of News4Jax reports Green beat offensive lineman Walker Little with a spin move at some point of Day 6, adding that he's positioning himself to win the No. 3 job behind Walker and Josh Hines-Allen.
Zach Durfee, Jaguars defensive end
B.J. Green II wasn't the only young defensive end who shone on Day 6. Zach Durfee also keeps making strides, with John Shipley of Sports Illustrated noting that Jacksonville may have found a late-round gem.
Shipley writes that Durfee is virtually making plays every day and is quickly positioning himself to carve out a role in the pass-rush rotation.
Cam Little, Jaguars kicker
Although Cam Little dealt with a funk at some point of 2025, he bounced back and went on to finish the season strong, even setting a new record for the longest kick in NFL history. He's picked up where he left off, and hasn't missed a beat in training camp. On Day 6, the former Arkansas Razorback was 4-of-4
So far, Little hasn't missed a field goal in practice. If the offense improves next season, he won't get many chances to showcase his leg but will be ready regardless.
CJ Williams, Jaguars receiver
On a day in which the offense struggled to move the ball, rookie CJ Williams was a standout, making a diving reception that both John Shipley and CJ Williams called the catch of the day.
This was the latest in a string of promising practices Williams has put together. By now, there's no doubt he's a lock to make the team, but he's also making a strong case to earn a role on offense next season.
Jonah Monheim, Jaguars center
Although Jonah Monheim is the backup behind Robert Hainsey, he showed on Day 6 that he can go toe-to-toe with the starters. According to St. Cyr, the sophomore center had reps against Travon Walker and Matt Dickerson and did just fine.
If Hainsey were to miss time next season, Monheim is quickly showing that he can hold the fort.
