The Jacksonville Jaguars entered free agency with a deliberate plan. Without much cap space to work with, they focused on re-signing core contributors such as cornerback Montaric Brown and linebacker Dennis Garderck. On the other hand, the team's brass let running back Travis Etienne and linebacker Devin Lloyd walk.

While the Jags added Chris Rodriguez to bolster their depth at running back, they have yet to sign another external free agent. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as they've gotten three compensatory draft picks because of the departures of Etienne, Lloyd, and cornerback Greg Newsome.

Having said that, there's still plenty of talent available in the second wave of free agency. If the Jaguars choose to bolster the roster before the NFL Draft, here are three players who could turn into prominent contributors.

No. 1 Jaguars free agency target: Cameron Jordan, pass rusher

Before the New Orleans Saints let him walk in free agency, Cameron Jordan said that he wanted to be with a team that made him feel appreciated. He didn't explain exactly how he wants to be appreciated, but the Jags would most definitely welcome him with arms wide open.

A first-round pick in 2011, Jordan spent 15 seasons with the Saints, registering 135 sacks in 243 games with 242 starts. Maybe he'll end up returning to New Orleans, but he would be an intriguing addition to the Jacksonville pass rush.

Jordan is still very productive, but expecting him to register 10 sacks in 2026 may be a bit too much. Instead, he could rotate with Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker to ensure he stays fresh and remains productive throughout the game.

No. 2 Jaguars free agency target: L'Jarius Sneed, cornerback

The Jaguars just re-signed Montaric Brown, so cornerback isn't nearly as much of a priority anymore. That said, it wouldn't hurt to add options even though Travis Hunter is slated to play defense full-time in 2026. Enter L'Jarius Sneed.

Back in 2024, Sneed was one of the hottest corners in the NFL, which led the Kansas City Chiefs to place the franchise tag on him. They ended up trading him to the Tennessee Titans.

After two underwhelming seasons in Nashville, Sneed was given the boot. Sure, you could make the case that he's available because he wasn't very good with the Titans, but he could benefit from a change of scenery. The two-time Super Bowl winner could get it in Jacksonville.

No. 3 Jaguars free agency target: David Njoku, tight end

You could argue that the Jaguars already have a starting tight end in Brenton Strange, and you would be right. Having said that, Strange is the only tight end on their roster with legitimate pass-catching abilities. While Hunter Long and Quintin Morris are superb blockers, they don't add much as pass catchers. David Njoku could help with that.

After drafting Harold Fannin Jr. in 2025, the Browns no longer had use for Njoku, so they didn't make an effort to bring him back in free agency. Nevertheless, he was still a productive player last season, hauling in a respectable 33 catches for 293 yards with four touchdowns.

Njoku could have a similar role alongside Strange in 12 personnel and turn the Jacksonville offense into a juggernaut.
